Custom instructions is rolling out in beta (July 20)

We’re starting to roll out custom instructions, giving you more control over ChatGPT’s responses. Set your preferences once, and they’ll steer future conversations. You can read more about custom instructions in the blogpost here.

Custom instructions is available to all Plus users and expanding to all users in the coming weeks.

To enable beta features:

- Click on 'Profile & Settings’
- Select 'Beta features'
- Toggle on 'Custom instructions'

To add your instructions:

- Click on your name
- Select ‘Custom instructions’

This feature is not yet available in the UK and EU.
